As we enter the new millennium more and more of us are choosing health care that promotes overall wellness.

As a naturopathic physician, Dr. Miller is trained to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness in those of all ages. Since 1992 he has focused his practice on helping others to optimize their health using natural, preventative, and drugless approaches.

Dr. Doug Miller, ND completed his Bachelor of Education at University of Alberta in 1979. He was inspired to study natural medicine after having his asthmatic symptoms resolve completely while being treated by a naturopathic physician. Prior to attending naturopathic medical school he studied classical homeopathy in Bombay, India in 1987.

In 1992 Dr. Miller graduated with honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon (4 year program). Since then he has been in private practice as a naturopathic physician in B.C. and Alberta. In 1998, as part of his ongoing educational upgrading, he completed Louis Klein's 2 year Homeopathic Master Clinician course.

In general practice as a naturopathic physician Dr. Doug's goal is to help his patients optimize their health and vitality and inspire them to take responsibility not only for their own health, but also the health of the community and the planet.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Miller lectures regularly in the community and also teaches classes in homeopathy and natural medicine. He enjoys wildcrafting herbs, hiking in Monashees, organic gardening, singing, playing music (guitar and fiddle), skiing, and spending time with his wife, Caren, and their two children, Orion and Orissa.
